the basics
Name: Blair Annika Tremlett
House/Year: Slytherin, 6th
Birthday: 26 September 2005
Bloodline: Halfblood (mum pure, dad muggleborn)
Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual
Boggart: Her mother, walking away and deaf to her cries. She won’t admit it, but the fact that her mother abandoned her hurts much more as a teenager than it did when she was three.
Patronus: Mako shark
Clubs & Affiliations: Charms Club, Slug Club.
Classes: DADA, Transfiguration, Charms, Potions, and Herbology.

history
Father: Donaghan Tremlett, Gryffindor, class of 1992.
Mother: Isobel Richard (née Wagtail, formerly Tremlett), Gryffindor, class of 2003.
Sister: Bayley Tremlett, 5th year Gryffindor

Background
It was the spring of 1990 when several young men, including Donaghan Tremlett and Myron Wagtail, formed a rock band called 50 Points from Gryffindor. After leaving Hogwarts and gaining recognition on the bar circuit, the band changed their name (a good move on their part) to the Weird Sisters. They released their self-titled debut album in 1992 and, well, the rest is history.

The band almost broke up in 2003, when it was discovered that 29-year old Donaghan was secretly dating Myron’s sister Isobel (who was just 17 at the time). For four months, during which he recorded a widely panned, angst-ridden solo album called "Soliloquy," Myron refused to speak to or work with Donaghan. Thankfully, all was eventually forgiven, and Donaghan and Isobel were married soon after her graduation in 2004.

Everything was perfect at first. Blair and Bayley were born early on in the marriage, and Isobel loved Donaghan with the enthusiasm of a starry-eyed teenager. It soon became apparent, however, that this wasn’t enough. As the Sisters continued to climb to legendary levels of fame, Isobel began to grow sick of the late nights, never-ending tours, parties, and (of course) the ever-present groupies.

In 2008, when Blair was just three years old, Isobel snapped. She left Donaghan and moved to Paris, where, according to Myron, she later met and married a muggle investment banker. She has two children with her new husband, half-siblings whom Blair has never met.

The split was surprisingly painless for Donaghan and the girls. He knew that things had gone sour years before, and both Blair and Bayley were too young to understand what had happened. There were, of course, rough patches now and then, but the three Tremletts soon adjusted to Life Without Mummy.

Character History
Donaghan loved his daughters and often doted on them, giving them everything they could possibly want. They toured with the band (their governess and private tutor always accompanied them on tour), attended lavish parties, and received VIP treatment everywhere they went. It was world of glamour and privilege; a real-life fairytale with only occasional glimpses of the ugliness that so often accompanies stardom.

When Blair entered Hogwarts, it was assumed that she would be sorted into Gryffindor, the house to which both her parents had belonged. The Sorting Hat, however, had other ideas. While it sensed a quick wit and spirited nature that would have done well in Gryffindor, it also sensed ambition and a shrewd ingenuity that could be a great asset to Slytherin. The den of serpents, it seemed, was her destiny.

If Donaghan was disappointed, he didn’t show it.

She did quite well on her O.W.L.s, receiving Outstandings in DADA and Transfiguration, Exceeds Expectations in Potions, Herbology and Charms, and Acceptables in Ancient Runes and Astronomy.

personality
Blair is charming, spirited and just a little bit mischievous. She wears what she wants (often pushing the boundaries of uniform guidelines), says what she wants, and does what she wants - even if that gets her into trouble at times. She doesn’t blatantly ignore the rules per se, but she doesn't have much regard for them, either.

She is perfectly comfortable in the spotlight, but she's also quite content to simply observe from the wings. As a young child in a very adult world, she’s had plenty of chances to watch, listen, and – most importantly – learn. She’s picked up quite a bit about human psychology over the years and, for the most part, can read people very well (something that often works to her advantage). That said, she isn’t one to base entire relationships on first impressions; she is slow to pass judgment and is almost always willing to give someone a second chance.

Blair is far from perfect, of course. She can act downright spoiled at times, and has hard time accepting "no" for an answer. She gets bored easily, something due in large part to her privileged-but-nomadic childhood, and often longs for a change of scenery. Although she has many interests, she has a tendency to leave things incomplete as she goes off in search of the Next Big Thing.

She doesn’t play Quidditch, but watches the sport with interest, usually rooting Slytherin or Gryffindor. She is an excellent cellist and a proficient (if somewhat lackluster) pianist. She loves to write (usually prose, but she’s been known to pen song lyrics as well), and has given thought to becoming an author or journalist after graduation.

Astrological Sign: Libra
Libra is the seventh sign of the zodiac and governs the kidneys, lower back, and buttocks. Positive traits include a rational, logical mind, a fine sense of aesthetics, diplomatic aplomb, good taste, charm, skill with words, intelligence, an innate sense of fairness and justice, and exceptional beauty. Negative characteristics include indecisiveness, excessive dependence on other people, conformist tendencies, manic depression, extravagance, and manipulation.

This combination of sun sign and House ought to be nicknamed "The Magical Corps of Diplomats." Slytherins born under this sign are poised, polished, suave, well read, well bred, and excruciatingly polite and correct in everything they do - the perfect gentry of the magical world. Never a bully or a bravo here! No, these Slytherins would say "I despise you and think your are worthless scum" and make it sound like "How do I love thee? Let me count the ways..." They are discreet, sympathetic, easy to talk to, and know how to put people at ease. This can, of course, be a wonderful asset in espionage (the flip side of diplomacy!) and these Slytherins are more than capable of hiding their true feelings in order to get information or befriend a rival. Because they need to act in partnership with others and hate to be alone, they are rarely decision makers, and must be careful who they seek to befriend, lest they be led astray into the wrong crowd. Slytherin Libras also ought to marry into money if they don't have much of their own, for their love of luxury and culture can make for extremely high maintenance expenses.
